We were asked to refinish the pitch pine floor in this beautiful Free House, original build in the 1900’s. With amazing character, it was really important that the floor was carefully restored using our specialist techniques.
The wood floor was in really poor condition. The original pitch pine floorboards had seen man year of foot traffic, beer spills and plenty games of pool. A pool table had been placed on top of it for many years.
After having had us restore his oak floor in his other pub, the owner decided to show us this floor. He explained that he imagines its highly unlikely that we would be able to do anything with the floor. However, we could see the potential of the floor and could imagine the end result so gave him a cost to repair and restore the floor.
We were repairing loose and unstable blocks which there were several of. This was followed by sanding off all of the years of abuse, grime and debris. Then finally sealing the floor with a quality commercial grade 2k lacquer.

The owner was delighted and staggered as he entered the room even though not a drop of beer was had. He was stunned and over the moon with the end result. So much so he started looking for other work for us to carry out.
