These images show us refinishing wood floors as part of a larger project in Leamington Spa. We were invited to restore multiple rooms for a house originally built in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. It is a six-bedroom, four storey house oozing with character and beautiful charm.
The first room we tackled was the guest bedroom. We figured that it would be a good idea to start at the top and work down. Out of all the wood floors, this room had the most repairs. The outer edges were heavily covered in bitumen. Most of the floor was splatted with plaster dust and paint too. We set to sanding once all of the repairs had been completed. The floor was finished with a premium quality primer and two coats of premium lacquer from Pallmann.
This is often part of the challenge for those undertaking wood restoration projects. Most are unsure of what wood products to use and how they are best to be applied. Time spent and invested on sanding wood floors can be lost if the wood finish is not applied correctly. It is vital to know how to apply the finish products and which products will offer the best outcome.
We work really hard as a team to offer exceptional results. Receiving positive feedback is extremely valuable and appreciated. Being passionate about what we do and about delivering brilliant results is part of what makes us different.
We care deeply about each project we complete and will always go above and beyond to ensure your floors are restored to their best possible outcome.
Here is what our client thought of our floor sanding services:
“Wes & Lorraine did an amazing job on our 100+ year old pine floorboards, restoring them and bringing them to life again. They take real pride in their work and are completely dedicated – they worked into the night to get our floors ready for our moving in date. The end result is stunning!”
