We continued with this floor sanding project in Leamington Spa. With the extensive work put into each room, we felt it appropriate to showcase each. We were invited to restore multiple rooms for a house originally built in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. It is a six-bedroom, four storey house oozing with character and beautiful charm.
The new owners of this home took up the carpets while decorating and discovered the original pine boards underneath. They wanted to add and bring character to their home so asked for our help to restore the wood floors.
The lounge had been partly covered in carpet until the day or so before we set to tackle it. Therefore, the full extent of the wood repairs only became apparent after the carpet was removed. This floor was heavily covered in bitumen and felt like it had a million staples to remove. The carpet fitters had stapled down the underlay; to say this is a nightmare is an understatement. Removing these took lots of time on our hands and knees.
We set to work to remove the staples and drag out the soil between the boards. Many repairs were needed, and these extended to loose and broken boards. Due to the level of bitumen we had to hit this floor hard using a lower starting grade than usual, but the end result came out beautifully.
We are extensively trained in wood repairs, floor sanding and wood restoration services. Our passion for what we do shines through with each and every project we complete. Every floor sanding project is individual, and it is important to bring that enthusiasm and passion to each one. We aim to offer an exceptional service for our clients and will always go the extra mile to ensure this. If you would like to request a floor sanding quotation, please call on 07716 212907.
